For me, it’s simple -I love the Las Virgenes Unified School District. I love our teachers, our staff, our students, and our families.

I am awed whenever I step into one of our classrooms and witness what is happening there –not only the amazing instruction and learning going on around me, but the connecting – how evident it is that every single student matters here. No other public school district of our size in California has this many options and opportunities for students, from dual language immersion to International Baccalaureate, AP Capstone, award-winning performs arts programs, and on and on…we are truly cutting edge.

I have been honored and privileged to serve the students, parents, staff, and communities ofLas Virgenes Unfied School District. My long experience in our district as a parent, volunteer, then board member, gives me the solid perspective necessary to create and support successful district policies.

​

LVUSD is recognized as a model of excellence among public school districts. In addition to our academic achievements and successful programs, during my tenure on the board we have focused on student social and emotional well-being, added full-time counselors and also music and arts teachers at all elementary schools, increased counseling at secondary schools, and created a counseling center for all families. LVUSD were the first public schools to reopen in Los Angeles County for in-person instruction, while we worked to ensure the safety of students and staff with increased protocols and

flexibility.

I will continue to bring my proven dedication, experience, a continued focus on fiscal responsibility and accountability, to this position. Please help me to sustain educational excellence and continued creation of opportunities for all students, in re-electing me to another term as LVUSD board member.
